On Sunday night, Cadillac took advantage of the Super Bowl to unveil, with great fanfare, its very first livery of F1While the initial versions, as well as the combinations worn until then by Valtteri Bottas While Sergio Pérez and his wife hinted at a black livery, it will ultimately be black and white. Adorned with a gradient and an asymmetrical look, featuring one black side and one white side, this first F1 car unveiled by Cadillac is certainly original. However, no touch of gold is ultimately present on this... car, similar to what Americans wear in WEC for example.
Logically, Cadillac shouldn't be expected to be a frontrunner this year. In 2026, the team led by Graeme Lowdon will be in its first F1 season and will only be aiming for a few points, as well as linear and, above all, rapid progress. To achieve this, the team has opted for a driver pairing of two (very) experienced drivers, Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Pérez. In Barcelona, during the closed-door tests held in Catalonia, Cadillac unsurprisingly completed the fewest kilometers among those that participated in all the available sessions.

With 164 laps and a total of 764 km covered, Cadillac finished ahead of Aston Martin (having only participated in one day of testing), but was overtaken by Audi and its 1118 km. For the Americans, the task looks daunting in this 2026 season. But while the team's project remains long-term, it notably includes the desire to hire drivers from the United States in the future. Present on the next grid of Formula 2 For the upcoming season, Colton Herta will wear the Cadillac emblem on his Hitech outfit, with the hope of eventually replacing one of those tasked with kick-starting this nascent adventure.

A livery that stands out a bit compared to the rest of the grid! However, the chrome on the halo and the team's helmets might prove problematic in bright sunlight...

A very interesting design from a creative point of view; as a photographer, I say… Bravo! 👏 One side is silver and the other black, and it's understated… Now we'll see how it performs on the track in Bahrain 🇧🇭 under the spotlights; it should be magnificent. 😎👍
