Although he hasn't yet won a race in 2025, Charles Leclerc He has another great joy to celebrate in his personal life. The Monegasque announced on his social media that he had proposed to his partner, Alexandra Saint Mleux.

It was through their dog, Leo, that the pilot Ferrari He proposed: the canine was dressed in a bow tie for the occasion, accompanied by a small sign that read: "Daddy wants to marry you!" A thoughtful gesture that charmed the young woman, who is about to become Mrs. Leclerc. The 28-year-old pulled out all the stops, with rose petals and heart-shaped cakes, while other pastries featured the initials A & C, the first names of the two lovers.

Charles Leclerc and Alexandra Saint Mleux made their relationship official in March 2023 and, since then, the young woman has often appeared in the paddock and on television, where the partners of the drivers are regularly filmed, sometimes during the Grand Prix, to the detriment of the spectacle on the track.

The partners of F1 drivers are increasingly becoming key players.

"It's somewhat of a trend, regretted Carlos Sainz early October on Cadena COPE radio. "It must have worked at one time: people found it interesting to see our girlfriends, to see celebrities on television, their reactions, etc. I understand that, if there's an overtaking maneuver or a very tense moment in the race, it might be legitimate to film their reaction, and that the production team, seeing that it has worked in the past, continues to do so."

"As long as the competition is respected and the focus remains on the important moments of the race, that's fine with me." continued the Spaniard, pointing to the execution of the Singapore GP. However, last weekend (October 4-5, editor's note), they didn't broadcast any of the four or five overtakes I made at the end of the race, nor Fernando's comeback (Alonso) about Lewis. They missed a lot. I understand the idea, but we mustn't lose sight of the main point. In my opinion, they're overdoing it by highlighting celebrities and our partners.

The Madrid player had pushed the Formula 1 to respond via a press release: “We always strive to offer our fans the best possible images of the race and never compromise on what matters most: the competition on the track. Our team does an excellent job covering a very complex situation with various cars in different locations around the circuit, while also providing fantastic contextual moments from the grandstands, VIP guests, and the venues where we race. We are always looking for excellence and improvement in what we deliver.” Everyone will form their own opinion.
