British Grand Prix: Charles the Lionheart

Charles has returned from exile, at last! On the land of King Lewis, the Monegasque has ended 624 days away from the highest step of the podium. Overcoming his doubts, he has shown that he has not become a subject of the British monarch. On the green Albion, the Prince has reclaimed his place.

The parade lap wasn't triumphant, but who cares! For his return to this "victory" ground, which he hadn't set foot on for a year and a half, Charles Leclerc would have preferred not to cross the finish line behind the Safety Car, but he was content after the terrible last few weeks spent questioning his brakes, his setup, his doubts. If his crossing of the finish line lacked brilliance, his race was certainly not lacking in panache. Admittedly, with his fresher tires, Kimi Antonelli was closing the 3,6 seconds that separated them, and the final laps promised to be high-tension for the Monegasque driver.
