The former Formula 1 technical director left his post in 2024 to embark on a new adventure by joining the Cadillac project. A colossal challenge for a passionate man who, at 72, never tires of learning, developing, and pushing the boundaries.

Pat, about a year passed between the official announcement of Cadillac's arrival on the grid and the team's first Grand Prix. How challenging was it to build a Formula 1 Starting from scratch in such a short time?

It was a huge challenge, and it's interesting how you phrase the question because building a Formula 1 car in that timeframe probably isn't that difficult under normal circumstances.
