It's here! The 2026 calendar of the F1 was unveiled this Tuesday morning, June 10. As planned, the Madrid GP will be contested for the first time. It will take place on the weekend of September 11-13, 2026. However, as announced several weeks ago, the Emilia-Romagna GP, at Imola, is no longer on the program.

As usual, the season will open in Australia on the weekend of March 6-8. It will also close in Abu Dhabi, again in early December (from the 4th to the 6th). Among the other expected changes, Canada and Monaco will swap places on the calendar, with the Montreal race taking place from May 22-24, and the Monaco Grand Prix from June 5-7, in an effort to streamline travel between the various Grands Prix. The new date in Canada places the Grand Prix in direct competition with the Indianapolis 500, which will take place on the same day.

The Hungarian Grand Prix has regained its place as the last round before the summer break, which in recent seasons has been held at Spa-Francorchamps, in Belgium. The Spa race has moved up a little in the calendar, and will be held from July 17 to 19, two weeks after the British Grand Prix at Silverstone. Barcelona retains a place on the calendar as planned, and two Grands Prix will therefore be held in Spain. The Catalan race will take place from June 12 to 14, the weekend usually reserved for 24 Hours of Le MansWill we be heading towards a new clash of dates?

"Will we be heading for another clash of dates?" Why even ask? We're right in the middle of it! For Indy AND for the 24 Hours. It's PATHETIC.
