Two days after the 54th edition of the 2025 Canadian GP, won by George Russell, the F1 announced in a press release on Tuesday, June 17, the extension of the Canadian round, held on the Gilles-Villeneuve circuit, on the calendar for four additional years, until 2035.
And all of this will still take place on Montreal's Gilles Villeneuve circuit, with its now legendary Wall of Champions. As a reminder, it has hosted the Grand Prix since 1978. Furthermore, it has continually been modernized, which is one of the reasons for its longevity.
“In recent years, the promoter, Octane Racing Group, has invested significantly in the event, modernizing the infrastructure to meet the growing demands of Formula 1 as the sport continues its global expansion. These investments will continue and will be essential to continue improving the event in the years to come.”, it is stated in the press release.

A lease extension longer than that of Las Vegas is good news for Canada, Montreal, and F1! The only thing left to do is to keep the date as close as possible so that F1 doesn't have to experiment with winter tires on Notre-Dame Island...
