Oliver Bearman will begin next season with a sword of Damocles hanging over his head. Indeed, following an incident with Lance stroll In Abu Dhabi, the Briton has only two penalty points left to make up before receiving an automatic one-race suspension.

At the Yas Marina circuit, where the final of the 2025 season was held Formula 1The stewards penalized three drivers for making more than one change of direction to defend their position. The stewards handed Bearman and Stroll a five-second penalty each, along with a one-point penalty on their super licence. With this sanction, Bearman now has 10 penalty points. The Haas driver won't see his points total decrease until the next Grand Prix in Miami. That race will be the sixth of the season. Bearman will therefore be driving under this threat. For Lance Stroll, the consequences are less severe, as he currently only has six penalty points.
