The worlds of animation and motor racing are set to collaborate. In a press release on Tuesday, May 20, Disney and F1 announced a partnership starting in 2026. Fans can expect to see Mickey, one of the most beloved and recognizable characters of all time, and his friends in Formula 1 “through experiences, content and derivative products from around the world”.
In recent years, Formula 1 has seen significant growth among young fans. Data shows that more than four million children aged 8 to 12 now actively follow the sport in the EU and the US. While 54% of followers on TikTok and 40% on Instagram are now under 25.
This may explain why the two entities decided to work together. Furthermore, as the press release states, this new collaboration is reinforced by the two brands' shared affinity for creativity, entertainment, and innovation. And by the desire to bring fans together from around the world through unforgettable and unique experiences.
F1 x Disney partnership: Las Vegas particularly highlighted
“Our collaboration with Disney promises to be exceptional, as we will introduce the world of Mickey and his friends to our fans, and vice versa. It fits perfectly with our strategy to go beyond sports and reach a wider audience. In return, we will introduce Disney to our 820 million fans around the world.”, says Emily Prazer, F1's commercial director.

“As we celebrate nearly a century of Mickey and Friends, our collaboration with Formula 1 offers a unique opportunity to bring together two powerful entertainment properties to create products that fans will love. This exciting collaboration will take place on a global scale, with unforgettable content and experiences tailored to both Disney and F1 fans.” says Tasia Filippatos, president of Disney Consumer Products.
Finally, it should be noted that in promoting this partnership, Las Vegas seems to be particularly highlighted. The former F1 driver, the Frenchman Romain Grosjean, present in the photos, also seems to be involved in this project.

Is there a company that doesn't collaborate with F1? The woke are coming to F1, great! F1 is getting more and more pathetic.
