- Nothing ventured, nothing gained, and in Monza Charles Leclerc et Ferrari have tried! Carried by tifosi In jubilation, the Monegasque allowed the Team to triumph again at the Temple of Speed, 5 years after the last red victory in front of his own team.
- It all came down to strategy, faced with the unknown of tyre degradation. With a possible double in sight, McLaren played it safe by stopping first Lando Norris (32nd round of 53) and then Oscar piastri (38th lap), then leader of the race, given the wear of their front left tire. With a lead of about twenty seconds, Ferrari sniffed out the move and tried its luck by letting Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz on the track. A daring bet but one that paid off. If Sainz could not do anything against the Oranges, Leclerc showed great solidity.
- Oscar Piastri coming back by tenths of a second each lap, sometimes even seconds, Charles Leclerc asked to be left alone on the radio so that he could concentrate on his objective. One by one, the Monegasque got closer to his goal and managed to hold on to Piastri who failed 2 seconds behind.

- Starting from pole position, Lando Norris was surprised by his teammate who stole the lead of the Grand Prix from him at turn 4, even dropping to 3rd place. Unfortunately, he never had the pace to catch up, settling for 3rd place and the fastest lap in the race under the checkered flag to take an additional point. Carlos Sainz and Lewis Hamilton completed the Top 5.

- In the hard with a 7th place in qualifying, Max Verstappen did not have a better Sunday. Never in the running, the Dutchman simply brought the car home, crossing the finish line in 6th place. Arriving in Monza with a 70-point lead over Lando Norris, he leaves with 62 (303 to 241).
- Note Alex's great performance Albon et Kevin Magnussen which respectively offer 2 and 1 points to Williams et Haas. For his first Grand Prix, Franco Colapinto finished 12th after starting 18th.

I'm not going to tell you about this Monza race, but simply my joy for LECLERC who gave us a very good race, a FERRARI + LECLERC, what more could you ask for in 2024???

Leclerc is not the most consistent driver but he has something extraordinary, especially in the science of trajectories. This is particularly evident in qualifying (already 22 poles without ever having had a car to win the championship, including 7 in 2019, more than the world champion at the time!). Sometimes he is capable of great moves in the race, in the same way that the racing alien (Verstappen) is sometimes capable of extraordinary qualifying.

Very nice strategic move by the Scuderia (it's a change from the Binotto years!) and magnificent tire management and driving by Charles Leclerc ... despite McLaren visibly being faster! A rather satisfactory start by Colapinto who didn't take a huge hit against Albon
