La Formula 1 returns from Friday, October 17 to Sunday, October 19 to Uncle Sam's country for the second time this season, after the sixth round in Miami in May. Two weeks after the Champions of McLaren On the Marina Bay circuit (Singapore), the five drivers still mathematically in contention for the Drivers' title will compete on Friday on the track to secure pole position in the Sprint at the United States Grand Prix in Austin.

Six rounds before the final, which will be held in December in Abu Dhabi, Max Verstappen threatens the two Papayes championship leaders, on a circuit where the Dutchman has previously made an impressive comeback (victory from 6th place in 2024). George Russell, buoyed by his triumph in Singapore, will try to get ahead of the Ferrari, less comfortable than the Mercedes for several races.

It's worth remembering, however, that qualifying on pole at the Circuit of the Americas doesn't guarantee a starting advantage, as only five of the twelve pole-sitters in Austin have gone on to win the race. In the last three appearances, no pole-sitter has finished on the podium. So who will win pole position on Friday for Saturday's sprint race? Tune in at 23:30 PM on Canal+ Sport for the Sprint Qualifying to find out!
