Haas makes the news of the Formula 1 these last weeks. As well on the driver market, with the recruitment of Oliver Bearman announced at Silverstone et the imminent arrival of Esteban Ocon in its ranks, as well as on the manufacturer/engine part. This Tuesday, the American team formalized the extension of its partnership with Classic Ferrari for sale for the use of Italian engines until 2028, i.e. up to two years (or three seasons) after the introduction of the new power units and the application of the future technical regulations.

Haas plays the card of “stability” with a view to 2026
Haas and Ferrari will thus continue a long-standing partnership until 2028: the Italian firm has supplied the American team with engines since its debut in Formula 1 in 2016. The two parties also share certain premises in Maranello as well as common rooms on the two single-seaters.
“I am delighted to extend our relationship with Scuderia Ferrari until 2028, rejoices Ayao Komatsu, director of the Haas team. As a team we have always raced only with Ferrari power units and having this stability as we approach the next power unit regulations is a key part of our development.
“The relationship with Scuderia Ferrari has always been special to us, they were instrumental in the genesis of the program at the very beginning and have continued to be a valuable technical partner for us throughout the last nine seasons, continues the Japanese leader. I am delighted that we still have more seasons ahead of us and I thank Fred Vasseur and many others at Scuderia Ferrari for continuing to believe in our project. This announcement is just another example of Haas' long-term ambition. Our investment and growth in sport continues. »
Haas, Ferrari… and Toyota?
An announcement which comes at a rather particular time for the Haas team, which is experiencing good progress this season with already 27 points scored (compared to 12 over the entire 2023 season). In recent days, the rumor of a partnership – which would be closer to sponsorship – with Toyota has surfaced for the near future. Away from Formula 1 since its withdrawal in 2009, the Japanese firm is reportedly considering a return to the premier category in the coming seasons, and an alliance with Haas even seems very advanced according to our information.
If the Japanese brand would not have the ambition to supply an engine, at least not initially, it could be interested in investing in the production of the Haas chassis from 2026 and the introduction of the new technical regulations. Haas could thus benefit from the Toyota wind tunnel in Cologne (Germany), which McLaren no longer uses it since it built its own tunnel in Woking. Will the extension of the Haas – Ferrari partnership put a damper on these rumors? Or can we imagine a motorized Haas-Toyota... Ferrari from 2026? After all, we did have a team Red Bull - Aston Martin powered by Honda in 2020!

Imagine a Haas - Toyota powered by Ferrari from 2026 after the Red Bull - Aston Martin Honda of 2020, everything is possible in F1, it's just a simple question of dollars!! Audi perhaps needs to ask itself questions... because the cost is not at all the same
