While he was expecting a joyous end to the weekend, Isack Hadjar's smile vanished ten laps from the finish in Qatar, forced to retire in circumstances that remained mysterious. Taking advantage of the setbacks of Ferrari At Losail, the Frenchman had a great opportunity to secure a top-six finish. A result rarely within reach for his Racing Bulls. F1.

Naturally disappointed, the Frenchman clarified the reasons for his withdrawal from the race afterward: “With ten laps to go, I started to see the front left wing vibrating a lot, so I did my best to avoid the kerbs. Unfortunately, it broke, causing a puncture and damaging the car, which forced me to retire.” Frustrated, the Racing Bulls driver describes " a plastic car speaking to Canal + upon arrival.

This is cause for regret, especially since a good result seemed achievable: “It’s a shame, because we lost a lot of points today. After a difficult start, which I’ll analyze with the team, it would have been a very nice reward for us, having fought for 6th place throughout the race. We’re taking the positives from this weekend in Qatar, where we showed good speed, and we’ll use them next week for the final race of the season.”

Isack Hadjar is now setting his sights on the final in Abu Dhabi, where he will still be in contention for 10th place in the championship, against Nico Hulkenberg et Fernando AlonsoIn the meantime, rumors are circulating that more encouraging news about his future is also expected.

Indeed, Red Bull is expected to announce the driver lineups for its two Formula 1 teams for the 2026 season. The French driver is expected to take over from Yuki tsunoda at the parent club as a teammate of the four-time – and soon to be five-time? – world champion, Max Verstappen.

A "plastic car," a rather derogatory comment for Faenza, 🤣! Is he getting a little carried away now that he knows he's been promoted to Red Bull Racing?
