Arrived last May from Mercedes (he will not take up his duties until next October), Loïc Serra is already changing positions. The Frenchman, who was to be chief engineer of chassis performance under Enrico Cardile, has finally taken over the position of the Italian, who has left for Aston Martin. Serra will therefore be technical director of chassis within the Team, and will obviously report directly to Frédéric Vasseur.
The French engineer will be responsible for the following departments: Chassis Project Engineering, headed by Fabio Montecchi, Vehicle Performance, headed by Marco Adurno, Aerodynamics, headed by Diego Tondi, Track Engineering, under the leadership of Matteo Togninalli and Chassis Operations, headed by Diego Ioverno, who was present on the podium alongside Charles Leclerc and who also retains the role of sporting director.
Since his arrival at the beginning of last year, Frédéric Vasseur has remodeled the sporting and technical organization of the Scuderia step by step. Starting in particular by reviewing the processes leading to strategic decision-making in races, then by replacing David Sanchez, the designer of the last red single-seaters, and by changing Charles Leclerc's race engineer Xavi Marcos. Finally, by recruiting the D'Ambrosio-Serra duo from Mercedes.

That seems to be a lot of directors and assistant directors, so a lot of ranks. A little Mexican army look?
