Lewis Hamilton: The swan song of a seven-time world champion?

Having been struggling for several weeks, the most successful man in the history of Formula 1 is struggling to find his feet at Ferrari. It's enough to make one wonder if his recent seasons at Mercedes weren't already signs of decline.

Ferrari's first podium this season was eagerly awaited by the tifosi, yet there is no guarantee that the jubilation will take hold of Maranello this week. The Scuderia has already had 829 other podium finishes since 1950: third place in Charles Leclerc will therefore not mark the history of the team, but it at least has the merit of launching its season... and of highlighting the growing gap between the Monegasque and his teammate Lewis Hamilton.

Seventh at the finish, the Briton finished behind the two Mercedes, a strong symbol of his current powerlessness in the face of his former team. One of the cars in front of him is driven

I think that 2021 is the year the title was stolen from him, he is no longer the same, he cannot digest this theft which would have made him the most successful driver, and that is understandable, but hey!!!! Come on, I am with you and shut the mouths of some who would like to see you fail at Ferrari!

I'm disgusted to see so many people happy because Lewis has problems with his car (people are happy to see others sad)

Since the robbery of his eighth title, something has broken in Hamilton. He still has the will, but he has lost faith.

Hamilton was a great driver, but it seems that his time reached its peak two seasons ago. He's 40 years old, and you only have to look at the younger generation to understand that it's probably age that's unfortunately responsible for this lack of success.

He himself testified that it took several years before the engineers at Mercedes agreed to his requests. So he had a "tailor-made" car at Mercedes and this is no longer the case at Ferrari; and if it takes several years, then he knew before arriving at Ferrari that he would not have time to win an 8th title there. So either he offers himself a juicy end to his career, or he hopes to be able to get the car that suits him in a short time, at the latest next year. In any case, since 2022 he is no longer motivated for 5th places, which is perfectly logical, but still capable of the best if the car can go for victory or podium.

Those who thought Hamilton would perform well as soon as he joined Ferrari are either dreamers or don't know much about F1. After 12 years at Mercedes, the early-season struggles were predictable. Moreover, in China and Bahrain, he showed he still has it in him. It's clear he won't be competing for the drivers' title this year. But the season is long, and a few podiums and two or three wins are entirely possible. And that would be good enough.

As already said, he's too old, you can't be and have been, especially in F1! Let's look at what Schumacher did when he went to Mercedes after leaving Ferrari? And dear Alonso, now... he must also understand! Make way for the young, that's life!
