Already improving on the Spielberg side, in Austria, Ferrari suggested that recent developments in the flat bottom would allow them to move up the hierarchy of manufacturers. In this case, the performance of Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc in Great Britain support this observation. McLaren nevertheless remains very sharp like a Lando Norris still at the forefront at home, while Max Verstappen got involved in the debates in FP3. Enough to promise one of the closest qualifying sessions of the season?

Q3 – 2'30 – As all the drivers set off, Max Verstappen and his garage waited until the very last moment to exit the pit lane?

Q3 – 4'30 – 💬 Speaking to Canal+, Isack Hadjar doesn't sound very optimistic about tomorrow's race. The Frenchman is disappointed, even though he claimed to be aiming for Q3 after practice.

Q2 – 0'00 – Pierre Gasly is 10th and qualifies for Q3 in a completely unexpected manner given the start to the weekend made by Alpine !

Q2 – 0'30 – ⏱️ Hamilton sets the fastest time in 1:25.084 ahead of Charles Leclerc! At this point, the two drivers are first and second!

Q2 – 2'00 – The two Ferraris start their fast lap, while the top of the rankings has not yet changed.

Q2 – 5'00 – Lewis Hamilton takes to the field again. As expected, the Briton benefits from new tires, as does Charles Leclerc. The cars take turns going out to battle again.

Q2 – 15'00 – 🟢 Here we go again for the 15 qualifiers!

16h34 – While Lewis Hamilton almost fell foul of a penalty, another world champion has confirmed his significant return to form. The Dutchman leads this first part of qualifying. In changing conditions, the certainties established under the sun are no longer fixed in this first standings.

Q1 – 0'00 – 📊 Evolving at all levels, here is the ranking of the first part of the qualifications! Eliminated: Colapinto, Hulkenberg, Stroll, Bortoleto, and Lawson.

Q1 – 0'00 – Lewis Hamilton is running out of fuel! 13th, the Briton is about to pass but could have easily been caught out by this more than daring choice from Ferrari!

Q1 – 1'30 – Oliver Bearman also improved significantly and took provisional 3rd place! The local will regret this 10-place grid penalty...

Q1 – 3'00 – On new tires, Alex Albon proves the Briton wrong and moves into 3rd place while waiting for the other competitors to arrive!

Q1 – 4'30 – 📻 Lewis Hamilton reports on the radio that the track has changed completely since the return to the track. Conditions are deteriorating, but the rain is not yet responsible.

Q1 – 5'30 – ☁️ The wind is getting stronger and could well disrupt the single-seaters again.

Q1 – 6'49 – 🟢 Green flag at Silverstone, drivers are allowed to return to the track!

Q1 – 8'00 – 💥 Franco Colapinto loses control of his Alpine and hits the wall on the last bend!

Q1 – 9'30 – Yuki tsunoda is only 14th after his first attempt, positioned behind Liam Lawson, 13th as it stands.

Q1 – 10'30 – ⏱️ Oscar Piastri beats the Dutchman and sets the benchmark in 1:26.002. Lewis Hamilton is 6th, Fernando Alonso surprising 3rd in front of Norris in particular!

Q1 – 12'00 – ⏱️ Max Verstappen in 1:26.041 sets a pace higher than Lando Norris, provisionally 2nd!

Q1 – 13'00 – ⏱️ Alexander Albon sets the provisional best time in 1.26:392, more than six tenths ahead of the Alpine.

Q1 – 15'00 – Gabriel Bortoleto is the first driver on track, while given the conditions, it would not be surprising to see the other single-seaters quickly emerge from their garages.

Q1 – 16'00 – 🌧️ Pierre Gasly says he can already feel a few drops of rain, having just left the pits.

Q1 – 18:00 – 🟢 Green flag at Silverstone, the first part of qualifying can begin in Great Britain!

15h55 – In the bosom Red Bull, Max Verstappen and Yuki Tsunoda both climbed into the top five in the final practice session. The Austrian team seems to have once again found a way out of the trap that seemed to be closing in on Friday. For his part, Isack Hadjar has never left the top 5 so far, aiming for another presence in Q10 in less than an hour.

15h50 – Apart from the very good results obtained by Ferrari and McLaren in particular, Alpine appears to be having the most difficult weekend of his season so far. Pierre Gasly's mechanics were still adjusting the ride height in Free Practice 3 earlier today, while the Frenchman was particularly dissatisfied yesterday.

15h46 – ☁️ Clouds are dense over the Silverstone circuit with less than a quarter of an hour to go before the start of the session. Rain could fall, although the weather forecast is particularly uncertain at this stage.

15h44 – ⚠️ Note before the start of qualifying, Oliver Bearman is already having a difficult start to his first weekend of F1 at home. Guilty of entering the pit lane at 260 km/h under a red flag, the Briton has already been given a 10-place grid penalty.

Lando Norris dominated FP2, not far ahead of Charles Leclerc in second, while the Monegasque driver climbed to the top of the timesheets in FP3 early in the day.
