McLaren takes everyone by surprise and unveils its MCL39

This one, no one saw it coming to tell the truth. Among the five teams that have not yet confirmed its launch date along with Red Bull, Alpine, Racing Bulls and Sauber, McLaren created a surprise this Thursday by unveiling its new car, the MCL39.

The Woking team has indeed revealed the first pictures of its new creation, first in a video where it leaves its garage on the Silverstone circuit. Then with a photo of Lando Norris in action on the track at the wheel of a camouflaged MCL39.

Indeed, for this first official release of its new car, McLaren has kept the future look of the MCL39 a secret. To find out, we will have to wait for the F1 75 Live event, scheduled at the O2 Arena in London on February 18, during which all the teams on the grid will unveil their livery for the 2025 season. Formula 1.

2025 will be a campaign of great importance for McLaren. Indeed, the team led by Zak Brown will put its Constructors' title back on the line and will aim to confirm its return to the top. With Lando Norris and Oscar piastri, renewed for a third consecutive season, the Oranges hope this time to win the Drivers' title.
