Pierre Gasly remains on four consecutive points entries (Monaco, Canada, Barcelona and Austria). A positive series which could however stop at Silverstone, birthplace of the Formula 1. Indeed, the French driver will be obliged to start from the back of the grid, after having changed several parts on his car.
“We had to change the battery, we already had a few little glitches earlier in the season, explains Pierre Gasly at the microphone of Canal +. I ended up with a defective battery, another where we had two or three alerts at certain times. So we have to change the battery, we will then take 20 penalty places. We also take the opportunity to change the engine since we will start last anyway. »

This last line at the start does not necessarily mean a Grand Prix without for the Frenchman since comebacks are not rare on the Silverstone track. For example, in 2022, Mick Schumacher had started from 19th position but managed to cross the finish line in 8th place, just a few seconds behind Max Verstappen.
