Pirelli extends its contract for 2017-2019

It was through a simple tweet that Pirelli confirmed its contract extension with the F1 for 2017-2019. The Italian manufacturer which currently equips the premier single-seater discipline has communicated urgently following the rumors flooding the Russian GP paddock.

“In view of the latest news, we can confirm that we obtained the commercial contract for 2017-2019. Official procedures will follow,” said Pirelli Motorsport on his Twitter account.

Pirelli was threatened by Michelin who had shown interest in returning to equip F1 for the period concerned.
