The Art Car concept, historically associated with BMW in 24 Hours of Le Mans, is taken over this weekend by the Racing Bulls team for the British Grand Prix. Liam Lawson and Isack Hadjar's cars will sport a special livery designed by Nigerian artist Slawn. The VCARB 02s will retain their usual paint scheme, but will be enhanced with original designs by the artist.

Slawn's graffiti aesthetic, rooted in his Yoruba heritage (a West African people, ed) and influenced by London's urban culture, has allowed him to establish himself as a figure in the British capital's art scene. Last May, he also made a foray into the world of sport by designing the trophy for the Emirates FA Cup, England's national football cup.

“Slawn’s work is unique in Formula 1, and that's precisely why this collaboration seemed ideal for us, explains Peter Bayer, Racing Bulls Team Principal. This partnership with Hugo and Slawn has allowed us to push the boundaries of creativity, reflecting the bold identity of our team. Silverstone is an important moment in the season, and we are proud to bring something completely original to our fans."

Racing Bulls had already used a special livery at the Miami Grand Prix this season.

I really like Joris's comment, but please, Mr. Yves Henri, stop your comments that only make you laugh and are sometimes insulting. I'm tired of reading you, you don't contribute anything to the debate.

Any excuse is good enough to get people talking, sell merchandise and, above all, make money!! Let's hope this special livery makes the Ridiculous Bulls faster on the English track.
