Max Verstappen was definitely not satisfied with the race direction's decision regarding his maneuver on Oscar piastri on the first lap. While the Australian, second on the grid, had made a better start than the poleman, the four-time world champion cut the first corner to maintain his advantage. The result of the maneuver: a five-second penalty that he had to serve during his first and only pit stop. It's just lovely " replied the driver of the Austrian team to his engineer, Gianpiero Lambiase, when the penalty was announced to him.

Second in the Jeddah Grand Prix, Max Verstappen did not hide his frustration at the end of the race, adopting a laconic speech. This is understandable: the Dutchman crossed the finish line just 2,8 seconds behind McLaren victorious. The RB-21 had pace on the twisty Jeddah track, and victory would not have been a miracle.

Verstappen already thinking about Miami

« Thanks to everyone, it was a great weekend on this circuit that I love, the pilot hastened to reply Red Bull to the traditional questions reserved for the first three. For the rest (the FIA decision, editor's note), He is what he is. I'm already focusing on Miami. »

The number 1's frustration is understandable given his good pace. However, it's impossible to say that his weekend on the Corniche circuit was a waste. While he didn't manage to convert his pole into a victory, he maximized the points (+18) and is only two points behind Lando Norris in the championship. With his second consecutive victory, the dance is currently led by Oscar Piastri with 99 points.

The next round of the season will take place in Miami on May 4th. This will give the Red Bull team a bit of a break, as the last three races have been a rollercoaster ride for them.

Verstappen still considers himself above the rules. Last year, his unsportsmanlike behavior didn't cost him much, but with a less competitive car, he's shooting himself in the foot. Let him keep going like this...
