Max Verstappen accuses Lando Norris: "Noted, and I will remember it!"

In the qualifying session of the Singapore GP, pole position once again eluded Max Verstappen on the Marina Bay circuit, where he never took the lead. Struggling to improve his time to dislodge George Russell, the provisional pole-sitter, the Hasselt native was only able to set a time sufficient for second place, which nevertheless gives him good prospects of a third consecutive victory on Sunday.
The four-time world champion did not hide his frustration at the end of the session, denouncing the presence of the car de Lando Norris, which disrupted his last fast lap. This is what happens when a car does anything in front of you, exclaims Max Verstappen, visibly annoyed at missing out on pole. Noted, and I will remember it! ».
Verstappen misses pole after Norris's interference
During the press conference, the pilot Red Bull openly expressed his dissatisfaction. “I think it’s pretty clear that it’s not pleasant when it happens to someone. I think in general, we’re all still pretty good at it. We try to stay away. Of course, it can sometimes be a bit more complicated in certain situations, but in this specific case, in Q3, with only ten cars on track, I think it could have been avoided.” When asked about the identity of the culprit, the title holder's joke left little room for doubt: "It wasn't Oscar, let's say!"
Despite this setback, Max Verstappen remains optimistic about the race. His RB21 has been formidable since the start of the weekend, with a top-three finish in every Free Practice session and even a fastest time in the final warm-up session – a good sign ahead of the race. « It's a shame, it could have been close for pole. It's a bit disappointing not to be on pole but we've had a good weekend so far, the car is really competitive, admits pilot No. 1. Overall, it's still good to finish second. »
Everything remains to be seen for Max Verstappen, who is still looking for a first victory on the Marina Bay street circuit, one of the few tracks still missing from his impressive list of achievements. The Dutchman will have another opportunity tomorrow to put an end to this Singapore curse and continue to nibble away at the lead of the McLaren in the championship.

But as always with Max, it's always the fault of others when HE makes a mistake, bad sleeper, but one day it's him who will be impacted...and probably punished! But although he was born Belgian, Flemish, his paternal Dutch blood took over! When I was driving, at each race there was a complaint about a Dutch driver and his car which after dismantling provided proof of cheating...it must be in their genes :):):)

Well I rewatched the footage Max is a liar! Norris didn't block him at all. As Max goes through Turn 17 Norris is about to come into the pits and he's off the line and Max has slowed down so Max is literally a liar

Verstappen really got up very late in his second qualifying lap in the 3rd sector at the moment when Norris was already left off the trajectory ready to enter the pitlane... Easy to accuse the more fragile of his 2 rivals for the world title!

Max is absolutely right ….. and if Lando did it on purpose, then …. He deserves a punishment ….. !!!!! I was a pilot myself, as you know ….. and my revenge …. was terrible ‼️ Max is going to be terrible …. tomorrow … alainkf1@pt.lu 😎👀👍👀🏆👀
