The Racing Bulls drivers complete their first laps at Imola

Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad have started their season earlier than expected! While the first pre-season tests are scheduled for the end of January behind closed doors in Barcelona, the Racing Bulls drivers have already returned to the track at Imola, for their first run of the year.
In a demonstration format, each team is only allowed to complete 15 kilometers with the new single-seaters before the joint tests. This corresponds to approximately three laps of the 4,9 km track. Under a low sky and on the rain-soaked asphalt of the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Classic Ferrari for sale, the F1 2026 from the stable of Faenza has thus completed its first warm-up laps.
In the context of a major regulatory change, the 2026 model surprises with the size of its air intake and sports a blue reminiscent of Ford's, a nod to the galaxy partner Red BullThe Red Bull Powertrains/Ford engine also makes its track debut. It should also be noted that the car was fitted with Pirelli demonstration tires in accordance with the regulations.

A difficult start for Arvid Lindblad
Liam Lawson took to the track to inaugurate the VCARB03, while Arvid Lindblad had a somewhat difficult start. The only rookie in Formula 1 this season found himself stranded on the track, his car being towed back to the garage on a truck.

However, this was merely a warm-up before the first of the two filming days authorized annually by Racing Bulls, scheduled for Wednesday, January 21. During this session, the drivers will be able to cover 200 kilometers, or nearly 40 laps.

Interesting to see what appears to be a flange reappear on the Racing Bulls' rims! As for Arvid Lindblad, it's better he crashes during the shakedown at Imola than during the first Grand Prix in Melbourne, like Isack Hajjar did last year during the formation lap in the rain.
