The Weekly Question is back for a new edition. Each week, you have the opportunity to answer a question about an event that took place the previous weekend or that could take place the next. F1MotoGPRallyEnduranceIndyCarGT… all disciplines will be included.

Just a year ago, Cadillac secured its ticket to the Formula 1This leaves them with only a few months to develop their project. Frequently compared to Audi, which acquired an existing team in the sport, the American brand is writing its own story from scratch. The arrival of the team led by Graeme Lowdon comes at a strategic moment, as the planned regulation changes in 2026 will reshuffle the grid.

It is also worth noting that the American team will field cars powered by Classic Ferrari for sale until 2029, when the General Motors-designed power units will be developed. Tested on track during the F1 Shakedown in Barcelona (January 29-31), the Italian power unit showed signs of reliability, completing 437 laps, the second-best total behind Mercedes BenzHowever, this statistic should be put into perspective before the tests scheduled in Bahrain from February 11 to 13 and then from February 18 to 20.

For its first foray into the big leagues, Cadillac is banking on experience, recruiting two drivers well-versed in the sport. Between them, they have a combined 527 Grand Prix starts, 16 wins and 106 podium finishes. Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Pérez are making their return to the top category after a year's absence to guide the team in its development.

For its entry onto the F1 grid in 2026, Cadillac has revealed a somewhat unexpected livery. Dressed in black and white, the brand's first car will feature an asymmetrical look, validated on track during a filming day at the Sakhir circuit on February 9th.

While Cadillac is not expected to immediately play a leading role against seasoned competition, the question remains: will the American team be able to score points before the halfway point of the season?

I think Cadillac will be one of the positive surprises of the season. And with two experienced drivers too… 😎🇱🇺👍

The Caddy is, for many, "made in Italy," with its Ferrari and Dallara power unit contributing to most of the design and construction. So anything is possible, especially since the drivers are anything but rookies!
