The Weekly Question is back for a new edition. Each week, you have the opportunity to answer a question about an event that took place the previous weekend or that could take place the next. F1, MotoGP, Rally, Endurance, IndyCarGT… all disciplines will be included. This week, for the first time in almost three months, we've entered a race week as far as the Formula 1In Melbourne, the excitement will gradually build before the start of the Australian Grand Prix, as the 22 drivers on the grid still need to familiarize themselves with their new cars.
Indeed, in a context of major regulatory change, there are many unknowns in the equation. The hierarchy is not yet clear, the strengths and weaknesses of the various players have not all been revealed, and the management of these new engines does not yet seem to be mastered by everyone. Although the block Mercedes Benz remains somewhat ahead of Ferrari, Red Bull Powertrains, and Audi as things stand, the engine designed within the walls of Maranello emerged as the most reliable in light of the Bahrain tests.
In this regard, the drivers of the four teams still considered the top teams will be expected to be at the forefront. At the top of fans' expectations and hopes, it seems that Mercedes and Ferrari could engage in an intense duel if the hierarchy remains that of pre-season testing. Specifically, Kimi Antonelli, George Russell, Charles Leclerc et Lewis Hamilton Will they be able to live up to their status? Will there be a surprise, especially after a start that still raises many questions? Will retirements be frequent on a track where energy recovery looks very difficult? While it's still too early to answer most of these questions with certainty, it's not too early to make your first predictions for the 2026 F1 season!
