Tsunoda/Gasly collision in Jeddah: who is to blame?

A collision on the first lap deprived the two former teammates of a points-scoring finish in Jeddah. Yuki Tsunoda and Pierre Gasly disagreed over their crash, but each defended their maneuver.

Honestly, crammed as they are in their cockpits with the side protections and the HALO, I don't know how the drivers manage to see each other. The mirrors must have enormous blind spots. There is what fighter pilots call "situational awareness" which consists of memorizing who is around you and how it is expected that they evolve, but it has its limits. Gasly seems to have fallen back on Tsunoda according to the Japanese driver's in-board camera. But since neither of them had any interest in the collision, it must have been involuntary.
