Max Verstappen, winner of the Sprint race at the United States Grand Prix, at the microphone of the F1 :
« The start was good. Of course, there was the safety car because of the incidents at the first corner. Afterwards, it took me a little while to find a good rhythm. We still won this sprint race, which is the most important thing. Now we are focused on tomorrow. We want to try to do better in terms of race pace since we haven't seen anything yet. McLaren Today. We're going to look at what we can improve. We have ideas of what we can do, but of course we hope it will be even better tomorrow. »

He's still about sixty points behind Piastri, which is still a pipe dream. But given the total rout at McLaren and Piastri's suicidal maneuver that cuts everyone off, he must be having a good laugh and will play his luck until the end.

I can see the Dutchman winning his 5th consecutive title in Abu Dhabi, he seems to be off to a great start... even if the Papaya Rules were of no help to him this Saturday in Austin!
