What is the weather like for the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix?

@DPPI

Postponing the Grand Prix races in the Middle East due to Ramadan brings with it a significant drawback: it's hotter at the end of April than at the beginning of March! This was felt in Bahrain, where, for the first time this season, faces were red and sweat was pouring down the spines as helmets were removed after 57 laps of intense effort.

Temperatures will remain high in Jeddah this weekend for the fourth round of the season. The track, located on the Saudi city's Corniche, will be bathed in sunshine from Friday to Sunday, with a risk of rain estimated at 0% by Météo France. Although the race will be held at night, temperatures between 28°C and 31°C are expected on Sunday at the hottest part of the day.

On Friday, a few gusts of wind could disrupt the drivers during FP1, before calming down during the second session of the day. Saturday will be the hottest day of the week so far, with winds reaching up to 30 km/h in the afternoon. This should have calmed down by the evening, when qualifying will take place (19 p.m. French time).

Finally, the sun will also shine brightly on Sunday, with temperatures expected to range between 28°C and 31°C throughout the day. A northwesterly wind will sweep across the track during the day, but it should once again calm down to allow the drivers to take the start of their fourth Grand Prix of the season.
