In Sao Paulo, Carlos Sainz and Alex Alon will swap the blue Williams to don the colors of Gulf, under a special livery called 'Guided by Words'. As announced by the team on the sidelines of the Brazilian Grand Prix, this design was conceived in collaboration with fans, who were invited to submit word suggestions associated with Williams, as well as Gulf last July.

After sorting through over a hundred thousand votes, 493 were selected. The most popular were "Legacy," "Passion," and "Teamwork." All were incorporated into a design that pays homage to the Gulf brand, using its signature light blue and orange colors.

"As an iconic stable of Formula 1With a rich history of championship titles and a determination to achieve further victories, we know that Atlassian Williams Racing means a great deal to our millions of fans around the world, says James Vowles, director of the Atlassian Williams Racing team. This incredible livery campaign with Gulf has truly brought this idea to life, and it will be a privilege to race every lap in Brazil with the passion and emotion of our fans woven into this magnificent design on the car.

With the 21st race of the season representing an opportunity for Williams to consolidate its fifth place in the constructors' championship, which would be its best result since 2016, the drivers' suits will match this temporary look of the car.

“Through our partnership with Williams, we continue to celebrate those who truly make a difference in the world of motorsport: the fans. This livery was created by them and their passion for the Gulf brand. ‘Driven by Words’ marks a new chapter in Gulf’s exceptional history in the world of motorsport, and we are thrilled to see this unique livery come to life on the circuits in Brazil.” concludes Mike Jones, CEO of Gulf Oil International.

Williams is going all out with the liveries for 2025! I'll be curious to see what proportion of Williams' budget will be dedicated to merchandising/branded products in 2025... especially since Williams is also changing its name and logo next year. It's clear the Americans own Williams Racing/Williams F1 Team! We can also expect to see a special livery for the next Sin City street karting event.
