Just days after announcing its partnership with TOHO CO., LTD., the creators of Godzilla, the American team revealed its special livery for the Japanese Grand Prix. A tribute to the "King of Monsters" that will adorn the VF-26 for the third race weekend of the season. "I am very excited to see the Japanese fans at the unveiling of our special Godzilla-themed livery in Tokyo.", exclaims Ayao Komatsu, the director of the team based in Banbury (Great Britain). "This collaboration is a first and truly exciting; it reflects a part of our identity as a team, and I hope the fans will appreciate this original livery."

On the track, the Americans will try to shine in a round that is particularly symbolic for their partner Toyota Gazoo Racing, a Japanese brand that races on home soil. "The Japanese Grand Prix is ​​another of our home races, with our title partner TOYOTA GAZOO Racing, so it's a very important event for us.", assures Ayao Komatsu. “We are motivated to continue the momentum from the first two races, and I think the team is working really well together. Suzuka will be a very different challenge from Shanghai, but so far, at two different circuits, we have been able to adapt our approach to get the best out of the car and the drivers. Our goal at Suzuka is to stay focused on the fundamentals and try to get both cars into the points — ideally score points with both.”

In the first two Grands Prix of the season, Haas was able to rely on Oliver Bearman, who surprisingly finished 5th in the world championship thanks in particular to his 5th place finish in China. However, the points tally...Esteban Ocon He remains stuck at zero for the moment. Suzuka must be the opportunity for the Frenchman to finally take flight and launch a momentum.

“I’m very happy to be back in Japan and racing at Suzuka this weekend. The fans there are always incredible, and for me, Suzuka is the best circuit on the calendar.”"That's fantastic," the Frenchman exclaimed. "The first sector, very fast and flowing, is one of the best sequences of corners there is. It's an old-school circuit where I've had good results, so I'm looking forward to getting back behind the wheel."

With AlpineEsteban Ocon notably finished 4th in the 2022 edition of the Japanese Grand Prix.
