Becoming the best of the others is the team's primary objective. Williams since the arrival of James Vowles at the helm. This season, ambitions were still high, but despite the good performances ofAlexander albon, and the status of Carlos Sainz, a cape still stands in the way of the work of the Grove stable.

Upon his arrival in Jeddah, Carlos Sainz spoke to the press and detailed his views on his new car. For the Spaniard, a problem "fundamental" handicaps the FW47. For its part, “Alex feels it too, and it's very obvious to both of us, but Alex is just used to it because he says it's been part of the car's DNA for a long time.”

More specifically, Alexander Albon discussed the Williams' strengths. The driver suggested that the weaknesses are indeed present, particularly in the fastest corners. "Most of the time, yes, it's very specific to the turns and the wind. It depends on the slow turns where we are very competitive.", he explains. But China stands out in my opinion. We were one of the fastest teams in those slow corners. We're a bit at the mercy of the cornering style on the track."

According to him, however, several developments have already been observed. "I think we've made good progress and improved other aspects of the car in different corners. The car is now much better positioned and we don't need to over-value other parts of the circuit to take advantage of the slow corners."

The reason is that the hard work seems to be paying off within the team. His collaboration with Carlos Sainz already appears to be a resounding success, according to him, while James Vowles described the Spaniard as a "part-time strategist" last week in Bahrain.

“We approach the weekends in a very similar way, and we’re both very data-driven. We’re very open, and we discuss openly where we want the car to go. We discuss everything together. We’re very aligned.” commented, cheerfully, a determined Alex Albon to take advantage of the length of the season.
