The 2025 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix brought the engine's adventure to a close. Renault en Formula 1Having competed in the premier category since the 1977 season, it will not equip any of the twenty-two single-seaters on the grid next year. The Renault engine is above all remarkable for its longevity. Over a total of 44 seasons, it was used in 771 Grands Prix, completing a total of 670,637 km. Over the years, it has supplied power to no fewer than 11 different teams, powering the cars of 88 drivers. During this long career in Formula 1, the French group's power units have achieved a total of 465 podium finishes, including 169 victories. Those equipped with them have also claimed 213 pole positions and 177 fastest laps.

The drivers associated with Renault also contributed to the engine's tally of 11,196 laps led, totaling 54,429 kilometers. In terms of points, they added to a tally over the years that reached a peak of... 8,281.50 units achieved by the French propulsion group.

From the 1977 British Grand Prix to the 2025 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, Renault has also crowned champions. From the first title for the engine, won by the Williams Nigel Mansell's Renault in 1992, to the last one, pocketed by the Red Bull Renault of Sebastian Vettel In 2013, Renault secured eleven Drivers' titles and twelve Constructors' titles, including six consecutive titles between 1992 and 1997. Among them were the two won during the 2005 and 2006 seasons, under the banner of the Renault team itself.

Well done to Renault, who have always known how to innovate in F1 with, among other things, the turbocharged V6 which made our best British enemies laugh and the V10 architecture with its beautiful sound... light years ahead of the current hybrid turbo V6!
