Having secured his first podium finish at the Zandvoort circuit (Netherlands) at the end of August, Isack Hadjar scored only one point at Monza, then another in Baku (Azerbaijan). After finishing the qualifying session in Baku in a huff, Isack Hadjar started the Azerbaijan GP in eighth place. During the reconnaissance lap, a hydraulic problem forced him to bring his Racing Bulls into the pits for necessary repairs. Struggling to defend his position early in the race, then caught out again in the final corner of lap five, the Frenchman repeated the mistake he made the day before in qualifying, despite putting in a strong performance after finding his rhythm. The result: a tenth place finish, which he strongly blames himself for.
« I think we're having a good race, the Racing Bulls driver puts it into perspective on Canal+. I'm just a little angry because I made a mistake, the same as yesterday, in the first stint. So I lost two positions. That put me in a bad spiral. I damaged the tires, especially since we weren't very fast on the mediums. On the other hand, when we go to the pits and choose the hards, we start to be very strong and come back to the group, but it's no use... »
Liam Lawson, his New Zealand teammate, crossed the finish line in fifth place. A position envied by a Hadjar in search of performance. Of course, ideally, I would have liked to finish the weekend where he did. I made a mistake, so I'm not there. Noted, in two weeks we'll do better. " anticipates the Parisian.

In any case, Racing Bulls scored more points this weekend in Baku than Scuderia or McLaren!

This driver is fabulous, but between Grand Prix he should focus on preparing for the next races and not spend his time making stupid Instagram videos. He absolutely must keep a cool head and distance himself from social media... otherwise, the much more mature Lawson will overtake him. Which is currently the case, especially in qualifying, but also in the race, with one exception.
