Ben Sulayem is a figurehead who has no power against FOM, Liberty Media, and the manufacturers. All he can do is make a few loud statements and pointless gestures about the profanity uttered by the drivers.

MBS wants to ensure a level playing field for engine manufacturers in 2026, but how does he intend to do this in practice? Furthermore, advocating a return to traditional V8 engines in 2031 (stripped of all the heavy electrified components?) is an excellent idea, but will he succeed, given that he could face legal issues following his entirely democratic election last December? If he were to succeed, he would rise in my estimation, and I would even begin to see some positive aspects to his presidency.
