Ferrari calms things down: John Elkann reaffirms his confidence in Vasseur

For several days, rumors – probably unfounded – were circulating in the paddock concerning a possible arrival of Christian Horner, former director of the team Red Bull ousted this summer, within the Team Ferrari.

The Englishman, who formalized his divorce from the Austrian firm in September, is contractually free to join a new team in 2026. After an unsuccessful attempt with Haas, confirmed by the director of the American team Ayao Komatsu, the Briton would have allegedly set his sights on the Maranello team, which was then in a delicate position with a gap of five Grands Prix without a podium (before the 3rd place of Charles Leclerc at the United States Grand Prix). It should also be noted that Frédéric Vasseur was renewed as head of the Scuderia at the end of July.

Hamilton comes to Vasseur's aid: " These rumors are not helpful."

To support his boss, Lewis Hamilton a swept away a rumor that he considers disruptive for the Reds on the sidelines of the United States Grand Prix. "I don't know where these rumors are coming from, so I can't really talk about it. It's a bit of a distraction for us as a team, but Ferrari has already clarified its position on Fred's extension, assures the Briton. "We are all working very hard for the future of the team, and these rumors are not helpful."

Tired of the speculation fueled by the Italian media, Frédéric Vasseur had already spoken out on the sidelines of the Canadian Grand Prix while his future with the Scuderia still seemed uncertain.
