The final practice session for the Singapore GP was dominated by the Team Ferrari. Sebastian Vettel was fastest on both types of rubber, with the four-time world champion setting the testing benchmark with a lap time of 1'45"682 (1'46"728 on soft tyres). The German beat his teammate by almost half a second Kimi Räikkönen and the first Red Bull taken by Daniil Kvyat.
Behind the second RB11 driven by Daniel Ricciardo, Mercedes remained strangely behind, whether with soft or super soft tires. Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg failed more than a second from the benchmark. The German was even almost beaten by the McLaren de Fernando Alonso seventh ahead of Toro Rosso de Carlos Sainz Jr and Max Verstappen. Marcus Ericsson (Sauber) completes the top ten.
The teams powered by Mercedes remain behind since the Williams, the Force India and the Lotus are outside the top ten places. Romain Grosjean (Lotus) only took 17th position behind Felipe Massa (Williams), Pastor Maldonado (Lotus) and Sergio Pérez (ForceIndia).
