Norris on pole, relive the Sprint Qualifying of the Qatar Grand Prix with live commentary

19:14 p.m. – SQ3: 🏁 And it’s the Sprint pole for Norris, who dominated these qualifications from start to finish! No double for McLaren since Russell came between him and Piastres the Ferrari complete the Top 5 with Sainz 4th ahead of Leclerc. Sixth time for Verstappen who finished 3 tenths behind Norris. Hamilton, gasly, Lawson and Hulkenberg follow behind.

19:11 p.m. – SQ3: Norris is almost 7 tenths behind Leclerc! Piastri moves up to 2nd place while Russell and Verstappen move up to 3rd and 4th. Hamilton completes the Top 5. Leclerc is 6th. Only 2'30 to go

19:10 p.m. – SQ3: 1'21“705 for Leclerc but it shouldn't be enough. Norris arrives and he's hot!

19:09 p.m. – SQ3: McLaren moved slightly and then preferred to wait a little before sending Piastri and Norris on track.

19:06 p.m. – SQ3: 🟢 Here we go for the last part of these Sprint qualifications! 8 minutes on the clock and the drivers are going to raise their voices as they go out on soft tires

18:59 p.m. – SQ2: 🏁 It goes through for Gasly who allows Alpine to participate in the SQ3 in Qatar. It ended however for Alonso, Albon, Bottas, Stroll et Magnussen. At the top of the table, Norris continues with a new best time of 1'21"231. Russell is hanging on and hopes to be able to fight for pole position in the Sprint in a few moments as the drivers will put on the soft tyres

18:57 p.m. – SQ2: Time deleted for Piastri for failure to respect track limits. The Australian has fallen back to 14th! Only 2 minutes left

18:55 p.m. – SQ2: There has been a bit of movement in the standings, now dominated by Piastri in 1'22"050 ahead of Leclerc and Norris. Lawson, Russell, Hamilton, Bottas and Magnussen are provisionally eliminated! Only 3 minutes left

18:52 p.m. – SQ2: Verstappen sets the first SQ2 benchmark. 1'22“188 for the Dutchman but it is slower than in SQ1

18:49 p.m. – SQ2: 🟢 No rest, Sprint qualifying resumes! 10 minutes on the clock and still medium tires. We'll have to wait until SQ3 for the soft ones!

18:43 p.m. – SQ1: 🏁 The board is agitated in Qatar and already some small surprises with in particular the elimination of tsunoda, 17th, just behind Perez who was also eliminated. Or with, Zhou and Colapinto are the other drivers who will not see SQ2. Up front, Norris led the field ahead of Sainz, Russell, Verstappen and Hamilton
