We found the secret to seeing theAlpine A524 performer: all it took was rain! This Sunday morning, in exceptional conditions after the postponement of qualifying the day before, Esteban Ocon got up on the right foot and shone in the rain by taking 4th place on the starting grid of the Brazilian Grand Prix. An incredible performance for the A arrow this season, far too often relegated to the back of the grid or the second half of the table. The Norman signed the best result of the French team in qualifying in this difficult 2024 campaign.

Obviously, this beautiful 4th place on the grid is a dream opportunity for Esteban Ocon and Alpine to score big points this Sunday afternoon, in view of the Constructors' Championship against Williams. The day after the 7th place acquired by Pierre Gasly In the Sprint, the arrowed A came back to just one unit from the British team in the standings and, with the accidents ofAlexander albon and Franco Colapinto during qualifying and their participation threatened for the race, Alpine can grab 8th place among the Constructors in the event of a good result.
Esteban Ocon (Alpine), 4th in qualifying in Brazil : “So, no, it doesn’t suit me [to get up early] but I’m happy to have gotten up at 4:30 in the morning for this! It’s cool that these conditions allow the level of performance of all the cars to be levelled. A little disappointed with the last attempt because I think we could have been 3rd: we tried something new and it was a little less good, but it’s a great performance compared to the rest of the season.”
