Last on the starting grid in Abu Dhabi, Franco Colapinto disconcerted

The first season of Formula 1 Franco Colapinto's match could well end on a bitter note. Still searching for his first point with Alpine In 2025, the Argentinian will start from a difficult position at the back of the grid after a poor qualifying performance. Colapinto will start the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in twentieth position, behind his teammate. Pierre Gasly, barely performing better during the qualifying session.
The weekend in Abu Dhabi hasn't exactly been kind to the pink and blue cars so far. From Free Practice 2 onwards, they were at the back of the pack, and FP3 wasn't much more encouraging. It was tricky; I couldn't find the grip or the rhythm. Colapinto confided to F1. To be honest, I've been struggling since FP3; I don't have the balance I want. Qualifying was very difficult, and I still need to understand some things. It wasn't the session I was expecting. We made some big changes to the car compared to yesterday, and it was even more difficult to drive. We were good in FP1, then we lost our pace, and I don't really understand why that happened.

The farewell of the Renault engine to F1

It's a truly ignominious exit for Renault, which is regrettable given the manufacturer's track record as an engine supplier. As for Colapinto, he's well on his way to finishing the championship with zero points.
