This time it's the right one for Alpine et Pierre Gasly. In Mexico, the arrowed A ended a drought of four Grands Prix without a point scored with the Norman's 10th place. The day after his passage in Q3, the second consecutive after Austin, the French driver managed to keep his place in the Top 10, unlike the scenario experienced in Texas the previous week. On the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez, there were no bad pit stops or failed strategies: even if the A524 was unable to resist the Haas and facing the return ofOscar piastri, Pierre Gasly completed a clean and faultless race.
“It was a good race, we got the most out of the car today, declared the Rouen native to Canal+ after the race. On the first stint, I was far from the Haas, but I saw that I was having a bit more trouble and that they were managing to pull away a bit. Then on the second stint, they really had more speed than us. In the end, we did our best, we finished tenth. It had been a few races since we were in the points so it's nice to be able to bounce back and get back into some form this weekend."

A key point for the Constructors' Championship
In Mexico, Alpine learned from its past mistakes in Austin and focused on providing Pierre Gasly with a better strategy to secure a vital point for the Constructors' Championship. “In Austin, on the first stint, it was good, we were in sixth place. We had a bit of a complicated pit stop. We came back into the pits early and as soon as we put on the hard tyres, we had a lot of trouble because we weren’t in the right window of use in terms of temperature. So, we rectified that this weekend, it seemed to be better. Afterwards, we still need some hard tyres, it’s always a bit difficult so we’re going to have to work.”
A little point that gives heart to Alpine, which is a little bit closer to Williams in the fight for 8th place in the Constructors' Championship. The French team is now three points behind their British rivals, but the developments made since Austin seem to be good enough for the A-series to be able to fight against Williams until the end of the season. Pierre Gasly's two consecutive Q3 appearances are a source of optimism for Alpine, who now hopes that these two drivers can get the most out of the A524 to Abu Dhabi.
