Quite a challenge awaits Haas for these last 10 Grands Prix. A real surprise from the last meetings thanks in particular to an excellent Nico Hulkenberg, consecutively 6th in Austria and in England, the eponymous formation now aims to be ambitious.

If the back of the grid was promised to her at the start of the year, here she is chasing Racing Bulls, installed in 6th place but more than ever under threat. Indeed, in the space of 4 Grands Prix, Ayao Komatsu and his troops inflicted a 20-4 on his rivals from Faenza to return to only 7 short lengths (34 to 27). A gain in performance which can be explained by the good development of the VF-24 whose latest developments have proven to be very effective, unlike the Transalpines still looking for balance after the introduction of their new package in Barcelona last June .

Promising momentum as Haas prepares to host Esteban Ocon and Oliver Bearman in 2025, further confirming their great ambitions for the future. However, maintaining it will not be an easy task in this second semester. Indeed, the very good development of the first summer part will not be extended over the last 10 Grands Prix according to the training.

« It is too late to influence development, as development for the remainder of the season has been completed, assures team principal Ayao Komatsu. But in terms of car set-up on the track, tire management, etc. whatever we can learn from Budapest and Spa will be beneficial. So it's an ongoing process, but our goal is to try to grab that sixth place in the championship »

To see if this will have an impact on the competition in the future. Haas will have a first answer during the restart at Zandvoort next weekend (August 23-25). “ It's an interesting tour, continues the Japanese. It is wavy and inclined, the last bend is very interesting. Its other characteristics are the mixture of low and medium speed corners, it is a circuit with a lot of downforce and overtaking is quite difficult. »
