With his double podium at the Brazilian Grand Prix on Sunday, Alpine hit the jackpot in sporting terms… and also financially? The incredible result of the French team allowed the A fléché to make a leap in the standings. Only 9th in the Constructors' Championship with 14 points before the Brazilian round, the French clan climbed to 6th place with 49 units, 35 of which were registered on this weekend alone in São Paulo.

An accounting jackpot in the championship, and possibly a financial jackpot at the end of the season. The system of "prize money" - a reward awarded according to the ranking of each team in the Constructors' championship - is thus made in Formula 1, a jump of three places in the ranking could have consequences (positive, obviously) on the money received by Alpine at the end of this 2024 campaign.

30 million euros more?

Indeed, even if the sums awarded remain secret, the difference between 9th place and 6th place in the Constructors' standings could amount to nearly 30 million euros. A figure confirmed by Flavio Briatore on Sunday, after the Brazilian Grand Prix. "It's 29,2 million (euros). That's the first thing I asked for.", said the Italian leader, who has become an executive advisor toAlpine this summer, from Sky Sports Italy.

It is still necessary thatAlpine will keep this 6th place until the end of the season, that is to say until the arrival of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on December 8th… and the competition will be fierce against Haas and Racing Bulls. While the A-arrowed car achieved a resounding feat at Interlagos, in terms of pure performance, the French team still seems to be slightly behind its two rivals. Nevertheless, the A524 has found some form since the arrival of new developments in the United States in mid-October, with three Q3 appearances in the last three race weekends.
