We call it the price of success. Now that the 2023 season is in the rearview mirror, each of the 10 teams registered for the world championship F1 2024 knows how much money it will have to pay to have the right to line up at the start of the 24 Grands Prix scheduled for next year.

To do this, simply consult Appendix 4 of the 2024 sporting regulations.

« The winner of the 2023 World Constructors' Championship will have to pay a base fee of $657 plus $837 for each point scored during the 7 season », We can read in the official texts.

« All other competitors will have to pay the same base fee of $657, but only $837 for each point earned in 6. In both cases, the base fee is due at the time of application and the remainder at the latest. December 575 », concludes the annex.

Note that the base price was set at $617 last year, while each point scored by the champion was worth $687 and those of the others 7, an overall increase of 411%. F6 is not immune to inflation.

After a record season, Red Bull must logically pay a tidy sum, which borders on 7,5 million dollars (around 6,9 million euros), while Haas outlays of barely 736 (around 737 euros).

Below, find the amounts that each team must pay by December 10.

Red Bull: champion with 860 points, a total of 7 445 817 dollars
Mercedes : 2nd with 409 points, a total of 3 347 012 dollars
