This Wednesday, February 7, 2024 was D-Day for Alpine with the revelations of the A524 liveries for the Formula 1 and A424 for the WEC. Much more than a decoration, it's his new car for the next F1 season that the French manufacturer has unveiled.
The aerodynamic concept already contrasts greatly with the 2023 single-seater, notably with a wider and crushed nose, but also more hollowed-out pontoons on the sides. Note also the presence, on each side, of large carbon deflectors, proof of a certain technical audacity. The chassis is completely new, as is the rear suspension.
The decoration will, like the past two seasons, evolve according to the Grands Prix. Eight will be contested with a dominant pink, and sixteen with a dominant blue. It is the work of artist Felipe Pantone and is largely based around the raw carbon of the bodywork. It is the big trend in current F1 to save as much weight as possible by limiting skin stickiness.
