Ahead of this first shakedown, James Volwes was able to present his team and its two drivers, Carlos Sainz and Alexander albon, as well as the new title sponsor of the Williams team, Atlassian, which the Team Principal of the British team considers to be one of the biggest partnerships in the history of Formula 1.
While he wants to be ambitious for the coming season, James Vowles recalls that Williams' objective is to return to the top of the table from 2026. “You’re going to see us progress, but what I’ve said all along is that we’ve been focused on 2026, 2027, 2028. We’re developing things that are in line with that goal. This year, there are huge infrastructure changes that are happening. We had 700 people, we have over 1 today, and it’s not over. There’s a lot more in the pipeline.”

Atlassian, the new title sponsor of the Williams team, which James Vowles considers to be one of the biggest partnerships in the history of F1... like when Saudia (which had to be found!) was the main sponsor during the glorious era of the Grove team between 1977 and 1984?
