Lando Norris swallows his poor qualification in Las Vegas: “Good to get back in touch with reality”

In the capital of Nevada, McLaren have a lot of difficulty finding a place for themselves. Qualifying for the Las Vegas Grand Prix highlighted a performance deficit on the part of Lando Norris et Oscar piastri, authors of the 16th and 19th times this Saturday morning.

An overall result which contradicts the formidable state of progress displayed by McLaren since the start of the summer of 2023. Lando Norris had difficulty believing it ! “We are where we deserve to be, declares the Briton. Since the start of the weekend, we have not been performing well. Even if it means choosing, I prefer to face this situation this year, rather than in 2024. This allows us to understand that we still have weak points to resolve. »
According to the McLaren driver, there is no chance that the Las Vegas Grand Prix will go better. “We are slow with little fuel just like with a full tank of gas”, he blurted out, pouting.
