The seven-time world champion Formula 1, Lewis Hamiltonand the most successful team in the category, Scuderia Ferrari, did not form the dazzling duo hoped for in their first season together. Facing a Charles Leclerc firmly established within the training of MaranelloThe Briton failed to adapt as expected. 2025 thus marked the end of an exceptional run of 18 seasons in F1 with at least one podium finish for car number 44. Furthermore, Lewis Hamilton appeared demoralized in front of the media on several occasions, confronted with the lack of pace of his SF-25 and his own personal struggles.

However, his former friend and rival Nico Rosberg urged him not to abandon the Ferrari project. I think he should continue, the 2016 world champion told Sky Sports F1. Stopping now isn't cool. He's only just started this project with Ferrari. Giving up after just one season doesn't work. »

A revival for Lewis Hamilton and Ferrari in 2026?

For its part, Scuderia Ferrari halted development of its SF-25 in April in the face of the complete domination of the McLaren in order to focus its efforts on the 2026 model. He needs to keep going, try his luck again, and hope to feel comfortable with next year's car. Maybe the car will be good. hopes the German. This year's is not. Her biggest challenge this season has been qualifying performance. »

However, Nico Rosberg believes Lewis Hamilton's talent is not in question. During the race, there were flashes of brilliance that we continued to see. The problem lies mainly in qualifying, and with such a different car next year, perhaps he can rediscover some of that old magic in qualifying. Hope remains, that's for sure. »

It's every Formula 1 driver's dream to triumph at the wheel of a Ferrari. For Lewis Hamilton, there's only one certainty: he can't afford to leave Maranello if he wants to achieve this goal, or even clinch an eighth world title.

Knowing the great friendship that binds them, I wonder if it isn't ironic on Rosberg's part, who is probably amused by the idea of seeing him sink a little further next year.

Sir Gold Lives Matter shouldn't heed this appeal, given the lack of consideration he now shows for his former teammate and 2016 winner! In my opinion, he'll continue in 2026, if only to honor a lucrative contract, even though he's already planned for his post-F1 life!

I still think it's not just about the car. With equal equipment, he was completely outclassed by Leclerc, totally demotivated at the end of the season, and worse for the long term, very poorly integrated into the team with whom he simply doesn't get along. It's a fly in the ointment; you have to remove it, otherwise you'll choke on it.

Let's wait until the end of the year... and then we'll see...? The logical decision... would be a withdrawal... but we'll see... Potential future replacements... for Oliver, or especially... a return of Carlos ‼️‼️‼️ We'll see... in two or three weeks... maybe an answer...? alainkf1@pt.lu 😎👀?👀? …… 🧐
