Max Verstappen, unfazed in all weathers in Great Britain

Nowhere at the start of the race, Max Verstappen was able to be patient and bide his time to challenge Lewis Hamilton for victory. Although he was beaten for the 5th time this season, the Dutchman nevertheless increased his lead at the top of the championship.

Even more than when he won by half a lap last year, it is in these weekends where he does not have the fastest car that we can measure the extent to which Max Verstappen is different from others. The Dutchman came very close to a victory which would undoubtedly have been one of the best of his career, given the scenario and the level of performance of the competition. Lewis Hamilton can thank the surveyors of the F1 to have decided that the British Grand Prix would be contested over 52 laps and not 54, because the Englishman would undoubtedly still be ruminating on a 58th Grand Prix without a victory.
