After his pole in Bahrain, the Dutchman did it again this Friday by taking pole for the Saudi Arabian GP, ​​ahead of Charles Leclerc and Sergio Pérez. The three-time world champion takes his first pole position in Jeddah.

  • The fight for the front row has long been uncertain between three drivers, but it was Charles Leclerc who emerged victorious from this duel against Sergio Pérez (3rd) and Fernando Alonso (4th). As in Bahrain, the Monegasque will start alongside Max Verstappen on Saturday. The Mexican and the Spaniard will share the second row.
  • The third line will be occupied by the two McLaren, with Oscar piastri before Lando Norris, while the fourth line will be 100% Mercedes Benz with George Russell in front Lewis Hamilton.
  • Superb performance from Ollie Bearman for his first qualifying session in Formula 1. The young 18-year-old Briton, who replaces Carlos Sainz this weekend, qualified in 11th place, only 36 thousandths from moving into Q3! The protected Classic Ferrari for sale impressed, he who only had one hour of driving in Jeddah during FP3 before qualifying.

  • Alpine still brooding in Jeddah: Esteban Ocon (17e) and Pierre Gasly (18th) were once again eliminated in Q1, far from progressing to Q2. The two French drivers will start from the ninth row, one row better than last week in Bahrain.
