Out in the initial round of qualifying, Franco Colapinto (Alpine) will start in 18rd place at the Italian Grand Prix, at the microphone of the F1 :
« It's frustrating, we did our best and the laps weren't bad, but we're just missing something that makes it more difficult for us on tracks that require a lot of power. We have to keep working for Sunday, we knew it wouldn't be an easy track for us. The race could be better than qualifying.
It's difficult to know where we stand because everyone does different things on Friday. I didn't run FP1, but no one really ran on a lot of fuel either. We don't have a lot of information, but what we do know is that at the moment we're overheating our tires a lot, which isn't ideal. We'll do our best to improve that for the race and achieve the best possible result for all the people who support us and our sponsors.
It's difficult to find ourselves in these positions in qualifying, but we will do everything to improve the situation in the race."
