Alpine has chosen to restart the season at Zandvoort this weekend to put an end to speculation regarding his second seat. While several names have been mentioned recently as Mick Schumacher or, Guanyu-Zhou, it was ultimately Jack Doohan who was promoted to the starting position alongside Pierre Gasly.
An ultimately logical choice since the Australian is a member of theAlpine Academy, making him the first driver affiliated with the A arrow academy to be promoted within the parent team, but also because his interests are managed nothing more than by Flavio Briatore, the new big boss of the training.
« I am delighted to be promoted as a regular pilot with Alpine in 2025. , he rejoices. I am very grateful for the trust the team management has placed in me. There is so much work to do to be ready and I will do my best to absorb as much information and knowledge as possible to be ready when I take that step. It is extraordinarily satisfying to be the first member of theAlpine Academy to earn a seat with the team and I am extremely grateful to everyone who supported me in making this dream a reality. It's an exciting moment, a proud day for my family, and I can't wait to make the most of it and give it my all behind the scenes »
